OCR: Painting with Fling. . . page 2> THIRD STEP: Mark the light sides (on the outlines) with color 1 and the dark ones with color 7. I normally let the light fall from left top, becoz this is the position step 3 where most people have their desk-lamp (so the right hand doesn't throw a shadow on the paper), I have noti- ced that several people always get in trouble with this step, so if you can't distinguish between light and dark step 3 (x 2) sides, draw some imaginary sunrays - like this: \\\, Use color 4 where a light side meets a dark side to pre- vent a side from reaching into another one. (See zoomed example) FOURTH STEP: Now we need 3 different light patterns to fill the logo with, For the light sides' pattern we'll use color 1,2,3; for the "inside logo" pattern we'll use color 3,4,5 and for the dark sides' pattern color 5,6,7. I only have 8 colors at disposal and only 3 of them for each logo-part, so real ly detailed logo-fillings are impossible. Look at Reward's font in Mental Hang- over for a good example with 16 colors! Space on this page isn't sufficient so turn over to the next one to see a bad example ... !
